The team welcomed Joyce in 2022 after her completion of her undergraduate degree. Joyce has been supporting the team and clients in different areas such personal injury, litigation and family law. Since then, Joyce has been developing her skills in various areas of law to better supper the local clientele.

Joyce is an eager member of the team and loves to discover new ways to make everything and anything seamless.

It is fair to say that he has been a very busy man over the last few years! Hideki is a shrewd businessman, an exceptionally talented solicitor and a loving father and husband. All of Hideki's staff speak highly of his leadership abilities and the culture he's established within the firm. It doesn't take long for those who meet Hideki to understand the type of person he is. His level-headed approach, kind nature and sense of humour are immediately apparent to everyone he has dealings with. When Hideki isn't in the office, you'll find him playing baseball, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or relaxing at home playing games with his family.

Mika's coworkers will tell you she's perceptive, intelligent and down to earth. Mika's clients will tell you that while they first know her as a migration agent, she soon becomes a friend who genuinely wants to see their dreams become realities.

While he is known for his impeccable logic and straightforward attitude, he cares deeply about people and the real differences he can make in their lives. Though he is an accomplished solicitor, Kevin says his most significant achievement in life is getting married and starting his family.

Edna came to Australia in the early 90's as a refugee. Because of her history, she has a passion for helping people who are disadvantaged, particularly those where English is not their first language. Edna has 12 years of experience working predominantly in Personal Injury. She finds working in this industry highly rewarding.

While only new to the world of law and the legal profession, I am ambitious to learn as much as I can through hands on experience in multiple practice areas. I enjoy working hard to achieve my goals and challenging myself to work above and beyond what is expected. I have particularly enjoyed assisting the exceptional solicitors in the Injury and Accident practice and have learnt much about the practical processes of personal injury law under their instruction. Their personal and intimate approach has allowed me to connect with our clients and understand their struggles and hardships. "My job has allowed me to gain the unique hands-on experience with our clients that isn't taught. I am privileged to experience every part of their journey and it is challenging yet rewarding to be able to support them through what can be very difficult times"

Mirai is currently in her final year of her Bachelor of Law and Business at the Queensland University of Technology. She is always eager to learn and take new challenges. She currently enjoys working with the conveyancing team to further experience and develop her skills in the area. She will most likely be the first person you speak to at the firm and will direct you accordingly to one of our friendly team members.

Yossi Witkowsky [B.A.; LLB] is that rare combination – a fine legal mind, but also a person of great warmth and humanity. An experienced Senior Solicitor and Attorney in both South Africa and in Australia; a member of the South African Law Association and he has also practised law in Australia for many years.

Qualifications

• Two degrees, BA (Law); LLB, and has also completed post graduate studies in commercial law.
• Admitted to practice law in two jurisdictions being both Australia and South Africa.
• More than 20 years practicing in a multitude of different areas of the law, with a strong background in commercial law and migration law, and other areas of the law, including Family Law.
• Commercial Law experience in litigation, general commercial law advice, drafting an array of business contracts (including complex cross border contractual work).
• A successful senior migration Lawyer for many years in Australia.
• Cross border work for Australians’ who have still have family, business, financial or other legal interests / ties in South Africa. Instructing South African Lawyers and keeping a watching brief to protect his Australian clients’ interests (Business, winding up late estates etc…)
• Represented clients successfully in complex cases in both the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART); the Federal Circuit and Family Court (FCFCA) and the Federal Court (FCA) of Australia.
• Worked in legal practice, and also at Multinational blue-chip companies within their legal departments, filling roles including practicing solicitor, mediator, compliance officer and in – house legal counsel.
• A guest speaker for Migration Queensland at the Queensland parliament addressing attendees on the immigration process.

Personal Experience

• Yossi and his family immigrated to Australia a number of years ago, and have been through the immigration process personally, allowing him to fully understand his client’s needs and emotions, especially when it comes to assisting them with the immigration process.
• Yossi is married with 2 children, who are active in the community, and junior sports. He enjoys Rugby, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, CrossFit and chess.
• English is his first language, and Afrikaans a close second.
